Maneuverability and city use
The Cruz V2 is built for the gap between a compact lightweight and a full travel system. Its frame measures around 20 inches wide, narrow enough to fit through a standard doorway or a crowded cafe aisle without turning sideways. The four-wheel suspension absorbed kerb drops and cobblestone patches without jarring the seat. One-handed steering worked well on flat ground. On steep or uneven terrain you will want two hands, but that is true of any full-size stroller. After five months the swivel wheels show no wobble and the frame has not creaked. For a city parent who covers around two miles a day on foot, this stroller handles the workload without complaint.
Fold and daily practicality
The one-hand fold is one of the most useful features on the Cruz V2. Pull the handle, lift slightly, and the stroller folds and stands on its own. That matters when you are holding a toddler and trying to load a car boot or squeeze through a turnstile. Unfolding is equally fast. The telescoping handle adjusts from about 40 to 47 inches, which covered both a 5-foot-2 tester and a 6-foot-1 tester without either hunching. The under-seat basket is large for this class, around 25 liters, and has a wide rear opening that makes reaching in while walking practical.
Seat and infant compatibility

One practical note: the Cruz V2 accepts several infant car seat brands via adapter, which turns it into a travel system without buying a separate frame. Where it gives ground
Two honest drawbacks. First and most important for growing families: the Cruz V2 does not expand to a double. The Vista V2 does, at around 27 lb. If there is any chance you will have a second child within the stroller years, the Vista is the better long-term investment even though it costs more and weighs more. Second, the Cruz V2 sits at a premium price. You are paying for the fold mechanism, build quality, and brand support network. Mid-range strollers like the Graco Modes cover basic functions for substantially less. The Cruz V2 earns its price for daily city users; it is harder to justify for occasional use.
Safety standards
UPPAbaby states the Cruz V2 meets ASTM F833 and CPSC 16 CFR 1227, the current U.S. voluntary and federal standards for carriages and strollers. Before first use, search the CPSC recall database for the Cruz V2 and note the model number and manufacture date on your specific unit. As of June 2026, there are no active CPSC recalls for the Cruz V2, but confirm this yourself since recall status can change. Use the five-point harness on every ride, set harness height at or below shoulder level, and do not leave a child unattended in the stroller.
Who it is for
The UPPAbaby Cruz V2 is a strong choice for city parents who want a true full-feature single stroller in a frame that fits tight spaces and folds fast. If you need a double now or soon, look at the Vista V2. If you want the lightest possible frame, the Cybex Mios 3 saves around four pounds. For most urban families who will use this stroller daily for two to three years, the Cruz V2 delivers on its promises.
